Close continues to support REC

Close is sponsoring a Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) Award.

The ceremony is part of National Temporary Workers Week called One in a Million Award, which honours an exceptional temporary worker, within the recruitment industry. Members of the REC have the opportunity to nominate their most outstanding workers, and to take advantage of the excellent prizes on offer (a £1,500 holiday for the worker and a £500 hamper for the agency).

The award will be presented on 20 May 2004 at the House of Commons by Gerry Sutcliffe, who is the Minister in charge of the recruitment industry and the judges will be Leslie Bland, Chairman of Close Invoice Finance, Jane Whewell of the DTI and Dolores Davies of the Daily Mail who will also be present.

Close are a Business Partner of the REC, and have over many years established a solid working partnership with the recruitment industry by providing recruitment companies with a real alternative to the traditional overdraft and personal security so often required by a clearing bank. Close use the assets of a company, mainly the debtors, to provide a simple and flexible funding line for working capital and cash flow stability. All types of recruitment business are considered, including start-ups, turnarounds, and temporary and permanent placements are also funded
