Industry: Food and Drink

Product: IDeal with bad debt protection

Facility size: £300,000

Trading since 2009, this family run brand initially began as a hobby and has since developed a strong reputation for producing high quality ales. The business distinguishes itself from competitors by transforming from one of the first craft beer makers in Scotland to a well-established brand with award winning products.

Using an equity crowdfunding platform, the company doubled production capacity and relocated to new premises in 2020. The team has driven forward with a UK growth strategy and successfully navigated the coronavirus pandemic. All while maintaining their passion for creating innovative beers to reflect the iconic beauty of the local landscape.

To further realise an ambitious shared vision, they sought a financial solution to provide the working capital needed. Having previous experience working with Close Brothers Brewery Rental team, we were able to offer an IDeal invoice discounting facility, with the same high level of service they expect from Close Brothers.

This releases the value of unpaid customer invoices as soon as they are raised, allowing access to the working capital needed, quickly and efficiently. This will support the brand in meeting growing demand and the expansion of their wholesale and supermarket sales.
